there's a first time for everything: bread edition
Last week I attempted to make scones for the very first time. They turned out pretty good! Since they were of the glazed variety, someone called them "donut scones." I'm pretty sure it was a compliment. ;)
Yesterday I tried baking bread for the first time. No, not simple banana or chocolate bread, but REAL bread. The kind you use yeast in. The kind you have to knead and let rise. Thankfully I got some great tips from my friend Connie on how to knead bread. Here are some pics of the result. (sorry for the bad lighting).
